I Wonder If You Know...

You say you're not for keeping, but that's all I want to do.

You tell me you're a pain in the ass and I'd want to be rid of you.

I tell you time and time again that it simply isn't true.

Your tears make my heart expand beyond the size of my chest.

My love for you cannot live within the boundaries of my flesh.

My mind cannot encompass it, my legs cannot bear it's weight.

My love is like a super-hero, fast and strong and great.

It can fight off all evil, it can withstand all pain.

Nothing can pierce this love of mine, not sun or snow or rain.

My poetry is hideous, you know as well as I.

But you will read this again and again and that you can' t deny.

Oh by the way, if you didn't know, I like you better than the sky.

*I like you better than the sky blatantly stolen from e.e. Cummings.

I do know. And I wish I was for keeping. I would stay forever in your magic place.

This is a sickening sappy sticky sweet gooey poem. Good job.

cj, I know I said I wanted to keep you...but moving in? That's another story! ;)

red, It is all those things, I confess, this girl, she's made me such a mess.
I call her up, we talk all night.
I am Elizabeth Barrett Browning-lite.

Sorry I overstepped. I will never assume again. All that stuff about making an ass...

I would stare at my feet, if I had some feet. But since I am a marble, I guess all I can do is roll away in shame.

cj, That is just so sadly funny, I don't know whether to laugh or cry, but if your chin is quivering I would give you the world on a silver platter to make it stop!

It's my lip actually.

*quiver quiver*

Remember what that looks like?

Silver platter. Yep.

I know you'll make it up to me.

Quiver,
CJ

Does the fact that I wrote you this love poem pull any weight with you at all?

If not, I'll have to find another way. :)

Think of a love poem.

Think of a sweet love poem written for me by you.

Then think of a comment. A comment mean enough to crack the toughest marble. And then think of me, who is definitely not the toughest marble. In fact, I'm one of the more sensitive marbles in the world.

Ok. Now think of the game "Rock Paper Scissors."

Got it in your mind?

Your love poem is the rock. A strong solid expression of your love for me.

Now think of your comment as paper.

That covers the rock.

Who is left standing in that particular game of "Rock Paper Scissors."

It's not the rock.

Now, since you mention weight, think of the weight of the rock, covered by the horrible paper of your comment, falling on the sensitive marble.

And now you have a picture of where you stand.

Not Letting You Off The Hook Yet,
CJ
